Humanity Lab maps selected Earth-event datasets such as NASA FIRMS detections and imagery while keeping detection time, image acquisition, map rendering and interpretation distinct.
This area uses public Earth-observation datasets to study events such as wildfire detections. It shows where the data came from and when it was observed.
Satellites and public science systems can help us see changes on Earth. OSOIX shows those public observations but does not pretend every bright point is a complete explanation of what is happening.

- Compare event points with imagery only within their stated time/resolution limits.

A sensor-derived event record, not a complete damage assessment.
When source imagery/data was captured rather than when OSOIX rendered it.
What this surface does not mean
- Detection does not identify individual people.
- Imagery dates/resolution vary.
- Humanity Lab is observational and does not control satellites or emergency services.
